Antje is a passionate user experience specialist with solid business and technical background. Having first encountered the World Wide Web in 1993, she has been designing innovative Web applications since 1996. Past highlights include:
- Design and prototyping of interactive AJAX interfaces.
- Senior designer and usability analyst at one of the largest usability labs in NL.
- Definition of 3G service solutions and customer relationship management for major European wireless provider.
- Invention and design of integrated Web-based tutor (US patent 09/689,435).
- Architecture and design of first interactive transaction-based virtual reality solution on the Web.
- Design and implementation of one of the first Web-based online banking applications.
- Founding member of e-business practice, helping to establishing it as international center of excellence.
- Research student at CERN (European center for particles research & birthplace of the World Wide Web).
As an advocate of good design and usability, Antje is a member of ACM SIG CHI and enjoys attending and participating in various design forums and conferences. Among others:
- BT Igite broadcast on women in new media.
- Presentations on user interface design in Java / Swing.
- Training courses on usability engineering and Web technologies.
- Article on Web Design for the STC (Society for Technical Communication).
She also teaches computer lessons to young children at Openbare Basisschool 't Palet in Maarssen.
Antje is married to Edwin and proud mommy of Robin and Natasha.
